Mary Poppins & Happy Halloween!

Though she is hard to budge from her own church, yesterday, my mom came with us to our church service. That's because my son was performing!

Each October, our church dedicates all the services to God on Broadway. Several Broadway shows are chosen, one for each Sunday. The choir and others dress up in costumes related to each show, they sing at least a few songs from the show and the sermon is related to its message.

This week was our final week and the show was Mary Poppins!

The children have been rehearsing every Sunday since September and my son was so excited to be a part of it. Every year, there is at least one show that the children get to participate in and it's always so much fun for them.

This time, my mom wanted to come to see him...

Fall Capsule Wardrobe on Broadway (well, not quite)...

Though it looks black, my mom's top is actually a dark chocolate brown. And she looked great in it!

Fall Capsule Wardrobe in Cold Weather...

I wore yellow, like my son, and since it was one of our first cold mornings this fall, threw on my favorite wrap...

Happy Halloween! :)

I'm sure your Mom enjoyed hearing her grandson sing. I visit my daughter's church whenever my granddaughter is doing anything.

Hi Grammy Goodwill! She really did!! She was as excited to be there as my son was to have her. But also, she loves musicals, and has decided to try to come to at least one more musical next year.

What a pretty wrap... so warm and cozy! I'd love to hear the sermon that goes with Mary Poppins. :)

Thanks, Linda!! Seems like it had to do with focusing on the positive, and maybe even making room for/being open to supernatural intervention?, but to be honest, I don't really remember it.
