30 Day Wardrobe Challenge: The Denim Jacket Test

Have you ever tried to wear a jacket as a shirt? That was my goal, today, to see if it would work. I thought it would be cooler as the weather warms up.

Well, that didn't work! It looked weird buttoned up and I was sure it would have to go. But then, it occurred to me to at least try it with a tank top, and that made it look much better. The best news is that it didn't feel any warmer.

Today's Outfit...

My "Thumbs-Up" Ratings: 1-10...

comfort ~ 8
wearability ~ 8
"love it" ~ 9
loves me back ~ 9

How I Felt In It...

My biggest concern, that it would be too hot, was not warranted. I would say it's at least a three-season jacket. I'm hoping it works at least 'til the end of June.

I love the way it looked!! I won't get to wear this exact outfit again until after Six Items or Less, and I'm kinda missing it already.

Will It Make the Cut?...

Yes! My main concern in wearing it this week was not Six Items or Less, which starts on Monday, but Project 333, which also starts next week. And it will definitely work for Project 333.

What are you wearing and how do you feel about it?

I really love the jacket, but I am hot-blooded, so a jacket like that wouldn't work unless I was in a freezing office. I love the look on you---fabulous!

Hi Danyelle! Yeah, me, too, so I'm thinking it will work for spring but not for summer.

And that made me reconsider it, but then I thought that I will probably wear it in the fall, too, so two seasons makes it worth it :)

Nice way to keep a jacket I want, huh?

Love this outfit, Jeanine! Very pretty. I'm always cold so I think I'll go see what jackets I've got lurking in my closet. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

You inspire me to try new combinations. I'm generally cold-natured, so the idea of wearing a jacket as a shirt is very appealing to me. :-)

@Stephanie, thanks! How sweet!! You go, too, girl :).

@Michelle, thanks! And you're welcome. Never thought about this post as inspiration for those who get cold easily, but yes, good idea.

@Roz, that's great to know that I've inspired you. Well, I thought jacket-as-shirt was a great idea, too, but boy, not with this one.

Thanks, you guys, for stopping by!
