What Would Your "Uniform" Be?
Is there a basic, "go-to" look that suits you, that you find yourself reaching for again and again? One of the things I discovered during the Six Items or Less challenge is that there are some basic "uniform" looks that really suit me and some that really don't!
My Uniforms...
(1) I love the way I feel in long dresses and skirts and I like the feminine look in them, too.
(2) I also like layering as long as neither layer is bulky or constricting.
Evaluating My Closet...
So as I am continuing to reconsider everything in my closet, with a plan to get rid of anything I don't love, I am trying to decide if I want to buy new dresses and skirts (so I have more of them) and long and short-sleeved cardigans to make layers.
I have a couple of dresses and a couple of skirts. I have 5 or 6 cardigans. But for the next challenge (the 30 for 30 Remix) that I am going to do in March, I think I need more spring things.
And my intention is to use that challenge to continue the closet makeover process so that I am ready to go for the April challenge.
Choose Your Own Uniform
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend some time in your closet identifying the uniform or uniforms that you love and that love you back.
And consider joining me for your own 30 for 30 Remix.

Hi Jeanine,
What a visually stunning blog! It's really beautiful to look at. I'm also loving you taking control of your life by taking control of your closet. Simplifying and doing more with less is certainly something that we should all consider. And I love your line about keeping outfits that love you back! Don't we all have that item we know we should never have purchased that is languishing in the closet because it shows us NO love? So funny! Have a powerful week! Allegra
Hi Allegra! Thanks so much for your positive feedback.
I'm glad you like the look of my blog! I just had it spruced up a bit.
And as for "where is the love?", I had all-too-many clothes that fit into that category. Really, what was I thinking?
Thanks for visiting! Hope your week is powerful, too!
Jeanine
I like your blog look and feel as well, especially the header :-)
Hmmm, to answer the question, I'm kinda torn...on one hand I like to play dress up with heels and on the other I like to be extremely comfortable with flats or tennis shoes...
I do like dresses/skirts as well and have some that plays really well with me (so I'm told!) and of course I have my comfy gear.
So my uniform will be a mixture of both those areas/wardrobes...and I recently gave away some clothing with tags still on them because they didn't suit me outside of the dressing room mirror :-)
Kesha, good for you for giving those things away! I have been doing the same thing, although it hurts a little when I realized I never even wore it.
I think it's realistic to have more than one "uniform" because I believe in wearing whatever looks fabulous as often as possible! :)
Thanks for checking out my blog & leaving a comment.
